We introduce an experience where you can learn deeply about Uji matcha and the Kyoto Uji area, and immerse yourself in the world of tea. A museum ticket is included, so you can enjoy the museum after the experience! Use a tea mortar to grind tea leaves and brew your own tea with freshly made matcha. You will be able to feel the true charm of matcha.

The experience of making and drinking tea while looking at the fields in front of the museum and the beautiful scenery of Uji is conducted with the help of an expert. Don't worry and participate even if you've never done it before!

Chazuna, located a 4-minute walk from Kyoto Uji Station, is a landmark in Uji that opened in 2021, and is a place where you can enjoy Uji tea, Uji's history, and culture together. Learn about the depth of Uji tea through various experience programs, and discover Uji's fascinating history in one place.

1. Toriniwa : Toriniwa has a guidance zone where you can see Uji's tourist information at a glance, and a library zone that introduces restaurants around the Chazuna Museum.

2. Observation Terrace : The observation terrace on the 2nd floor is open to everyone and is a resting space where you can see the Ujigawa River, mountains, and the city of Uji at a glance!

3. Museum : The museum introduces the tea manufacturing process, the history of Ujicha, and various perspectives on tea through digital exhibitions and hands-on exhibitions.
