A special tea ceremony experience
Experience the best of Japanese culture at the tea house located in Sannenzaka, Kiyomizu, Kyoto. Guided by a professional tea master instructor, take a tour of the garden where the tea house is located, a garden created by the famous landscape architect Jihei Ogawa VII.
After a brief introduction, you can enjoy the tranquil surrounding scenery and learn about the 500-year history of this tea ceremony. Next, a skilled tea master will introduce the method of preparing tea and the culture. After learning and experiencing this culture, enjoy a sip of matcha brewed by the tea master and taste a traditional Japanese dessert. Finally, you can take a wonderful photo with your group against the backdrop of the green garden.

Go down Sanneizaka near Kiyomizu-dera and walk about 50 meters until you see a large gate on the right. You can see a Japanese garden from this gate. After passing through the gate, go straight for 10 meters and go through the white gate on the left to find Sakaguchi-an.
