BESTThere was a lot to see and it was so good
Tokyo Toyosu TeamLab Planets and,
Metropass at double discount ❣️
The hottest spot in Tokyo right now. TeamLab Planets in Toyosu offers nine works that allow you to experience the concept of “body immersion”. Visitors can experience a huge work that seems to surround them with others, a work that involves taking off their shoes and immersing themselves with their whole body to become one with the world, and an indoor and outdoor work, all of which are body immersive themes.
The Tokyo Metro Pass is a discount ticket (Tokyo Subway Ticket) for foreign travelers that allows you to freely ride on 9 Tokyo Metro lines and 4 Toei Subway lines. It is considered a must-have item for traveling to Tokyo because you can freely use the subway in most of Tokyo city without any restrictions on the number of times during a set period of time. In addition, you can receive additional discounts at over 350 locations in Tokyo.
As if I had become a part of the work,
Tokyo TeamLab Planets
TeamLab dreams of a world of beauty without boundaries, where the boundaries between the viewer and the work, between me and others, and between humans and the natural world are broken down, only infinite beauty remains. Meet the artist group TeamLab, which is currently attracting the attention of the world, in Tokyo.
TeamLab’s work can now be seen all over the world, including in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, but the place that receives the most attention is Tokyo, where their activities began. Come see teamLab’s work and hear their stories in this international city!
A truly immersive experience that goes barefoot
What is special about this exhibition at Toyosu TeamLab Planets is that I am included in the work.
Before entering TeamLab Planets, they give a preliminary explanation. It is different from other exhibitions in that you have to take off your shoes, socks, and stockings. Also, there is a space where the floor is made of mirrors, so you cannot enter wearing short skirts. You can rent shorts on site, but. Therefore, separate lockers are provided, and you can store your shoes, socks, etc. in the lockers before entering.
About TeamLab Planets, Zones
Tokyo Toyosu TeamLab Planets is divided into Area 1 and Area 2. Area 1 has much more to see. So I recommend seeing everything in Area 1 and then going to Area 2.
Introduction of main exhibitions:
It's a really pretty place with sparkling crystals that change color depending on the light. It's surrounded by mirrors on all sides, making it great for taking pictures.
A colorful display of carp swimming on the surface of the water, colliding with people and falling like winter flowers.
TeamLab's first NFT artwork that anyone can download and own
There are many other exhibits to see, and it usually takes about 2 hours to see all of TeamLab Planets. So I recommend setting aside some time to visit.
The highlight of the teamLab exhibition is the 'Garden Area'
The highlight of this TeamLab Planet is the garden area. It is called the Sky Flower Garden, and all the advertising backgrounds are in the garden area.
What's really amazing is that all these flowers are real, and they move up and down from the ceiling. You can't touch the flowers, but it's a really special experience to see so many of them.
Tips for purchasing tickets
Tickets to Tokyo Toyosu teamLab Planets are sold as time-based tickets. This is because if too many people gather at one time, it can disrupt the immersion.
Currently, Team Ram Planet tickets are sold out really fast by time slot. So if you can't buy a ticket at the time you want, try changing the time slot again! It's hard to visit at the time you want, so it's wiser to adjust your schedule to the available time slot.
