• From April 1, 2024, entry and exit will be permitted only through the South Exit on weekdays, and entry and exit will be permitted through either the North Exit or the South Exit on weekends and public holidays.
• Adult tickets are for high school students and above. Children's tickets are for elementary and middle school students.
• Please understand in advance that there may be waiting during busy times.
• We recommend that you wear non-slip shoes in case of rain.
• Please refrain from using camera tripods or selfie sticks during crowded times.
• Pets are only allowed in paid areas outside of the main building, and are allowed to enter if they are in a cage that does not show their faces (assistance dogs are allowed). Pets are allowed to enter other areas as long as they are on a leash.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited within Kumamoto Castle Park. There are no smoking areas within the paid areas, so please smoke in the smoking areas.
• Bringing in food and drinks is prohibited in the paid area. Only drinks with lids are permitted.
• Wheelchairs (including electric wheelchairs) are available for free rental for those who need them during the tour (companion required, not available in case of rain). The number of wheelchairs available is limited. Advance reservations are not possible.
• Strollers are allowed to be brought in and used.
• There is no luggage storage facility for large luggage within the paid area including the main building. Also, wheeled luggage is not allowed within the main building.
• Please use coin lockers (paid).
• For those who are not feeling well or are feeling unwell, we have set up infirmaries for visitors in four locations within the castle, and all four locations have infirmary signs installed.
• The three elevators in Cheon Soo Gak are only available to the following people: 1) People using wheelchairs/strollers (including guardians) 2) People who have difficulty using stairs
• If you wish to use the elevator, please inform the staff at the entrance of Cheonsugak when you visit.
• We recommend that you plan to arrive with plenty of time to enjoy your visit, and use public transportation.
• Opening hours may be extended due to events, etc.
