What is a special observatory?

Tsutenkaku has two observation decks: the General Observation Deck (87.5m) and the Special Outdoor Observation Deck (94.5m). The General Observation Deck offers a beautiful view of the city, but if you want a more thrilling experience, we recommend going up to the Special Observation Deck.

Not only can you look out over the wide Osaka cityscape from the special observatory, the Observatory Paradise, but Tip The Tsutenkaku, installed on the special observatory, offers a special experience you can't have at a regular observatory. Be sure to take a great photo standing on the 5.4m long and 1.5m wide Tip The Tsutenkaku!

How to use the Hankai Tram

1. Please pick up your actual ticket at the ticket center on the 1st floor of Osaka Tsutenkaku.
2. Before using the Hankai Tram, scratch off the year, month, and day of the date of use with a coin or something similar. (Scratch-type paper ticket)
3. When boarding, please board through the back door and present your paper ticket to the driver when getting off.

* You must scratch the year, month, and day on the paper ticket only once each. Tickets scratched in more than one place will be invalid.
