The day trip was excellent even though the weather for the the first half was not that good. Our guide John was really good and made the entire trip fun annd enjoyable. He shared all the important facts about the places we visited. I would recommend going on this tour.

The trip was phenomenal, it took us to all the key spots on the great ocean road, provided adequate toilet stops and enough time to explore each spot. The bus was clean and comfortable and the tour guide Henry was amazing. He had energy all day, was really funny and made the experience so much better. I really recommend to book this tour

I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this trip because it was raining that day, and I was actually thinking about cancelling. But since I couldn’t cancel anymore, I decided to just go for it. 😂 I was also travelling solo, and this was my first time joining a group tour. As an introvert, I was honestly a little nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. But I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try something new—and I’m really glad I did! Despite the rainy weather, I still had such a memorable experience. The Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles were absolutely beautiful, and the whole trip was something I’m really happy I experienced. I also want to commend our driver, John, for being so kind and helpful throughout the trip. He was very accommodating and made sure everyone was taken care of. He even gave me a small Great Ocean Road souvenir at the end of the trip as a thoughtful gesture, which I really appreciated. ❤️ Overall, I’m really thankful that I pushed myself to jo

Highlights

Embark on a classic coastal journey along the Great Ocean Road, departing from Melbourne. Discover wild koalas in their natural habitat as you pass Memorial Arch, Lorne, and Apollo Bay, then marvel at iconic coastal landmarks including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Bridge. If conditions and timing align, especially during autumn and winter, you might even witness the stunning golden hues and sunset over the coastline near the 12 Apostles.

Program

Drive the classic Great Ocean Road route through Lorne and Apollo Bay

After departing Melbourne, enjoy your first break at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery near Anglesea. Grab a coffee or a light snack at your own expense before continuing your Great Ocean Road adventure.

Capture memorable photos at the Memorial Arch at Eastern View, symbolizing the start of the road, and then travel along the stunning coastline to Lorne. Admire the panoramic views of the Southern Ocean and the winding coastal road before enjoying a leisurely lunch in Apollo Bay.

Keep an eye out for wild koalas amidst the eucalyptus trees during your journey. While they might be a distance away in their natural environment, spotting them is a unique experience that's an essential part of the Great Ocean Road tour.

Spectacular coastal scenery from the 12 Apostles to Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge

In the afternoon, head towards the coast where the Great Ocean Road's most famous attractions are concentrated. Begin by taking in the majestic views of towering limestone stacks against the Southern Ocean from the 12 Apostles viewpoint.

Next, visit Loch Ard Gorge, nestled between high cliffs. Explore the beautiful gorge and beach, and learn about the historic shipwreck of the Loch Ard.

Finally, travel a bit further west to London Bridge to admire its unique rock formations. This stop, often omitted in standard Great Ocean Road tours, offers a chance to see even more diverse coastal landscapes.

During autumn and winter, with earlier sunsets, you may have the opportunity to witness the golden hour and sunset views near the 12 Apostles, weather and schedule permitting.
