Begin your evening with a lei greeting upon arrival at the Kilohana Plantation (Kilohana Plantation) in Lihue, Kauai. Before the main performance, soak in the luau atmosphere with Hawaiian live music and hula, and explore crafts from local artisans.

Witness the ceremony of uncovering the traditional underground oven, imu (Imu), where the pig is cooked. Afterward, savor a Hawaiian buffet featuring kalua pig, seasonal fish, teriyaki chicken, poi, noodles, salads, and fresh fruits. Don't forget the sweet treats like pineapple upside-down cake and haupia.

The open bar offers a selection of beers, wines, mai tais, and other cocktails, along with various beverages. Please note that alcohol is available only to those 21 years and older, per US regulations. Bring a valid photo ID.

After dinner, the main Luau Kalamaku show begins. For approximately 45 minutes, the stage comes alive with hula, live music, traditional dances, and fire knife and fire poi ball performances.

The show is more than just a series of dances; it unfolds as a narrative of the ancient Polynesians' voyage across the sea from Tahiti to Kauai in search of a new homeland. Luau Kalamaku uniquely combines stagecraft, lighting, music, dance, and fire to present Polynesian history and culture as a compelling theatrical production.

After the performance, there may be an opportunity to take photos with the cast.
