Spend a day visiting a chocolate factory on the Central Coast, a Hunter Valley winery and the coastal sand dunes of Port Stephens, all from Sydney. At 4 Pines Winery in the Hunter Valley, learn about everything from grape growing to winemaking in the Wine Theatre, enjoy a guided wine tasting and have an Asian-Western fusion course lunch. Depending on your option, you can add a Segway vineyard tour or archery. On the golden dunes of Anna Bay, you can choose camel riding or 4WD sandboarding on site.

Program

Depart Sydney and stop at
a chocolate factory in Gosford

Board the bus at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium at 7:15 AM or Furama Darling Harbour at 7:30 AM. After about 1 hour 45 minutes, arrive at a chocolate factory (The Factory Nougat & Chocolate) in Gosford on the Central Coast and take a 20-minute break to browse handmade chocolates and sweet treats.

Learn about wine and taste it at 4 Pines Winery

Travel about 1.5 hours further to 4 Pines at the Farm in the Hunter Valley. In the Wine Theatre, learn about the winemaking process, from harvesting, crushing and pressing to fermentation, clarification, aging and bottling, then enjoy a guided tasting of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Semillon. Lunch is an Asian-Western fusion set course.

Enjoy free time in the Hunter Valley
or try Segway or archery

With the Winery Experience option, explore the Hunter Valley at your own pace for about 1 hour after lunch. With the Segway option, tour the vineyard by Segway for 30 minutes, and with the archery option, try 45 minutes of archery with instruction before free time. Segway and archery are available only to guests aged 11 and over.

Ride a camel or sandboard
on the Anna Bay dunes

After about 1 hour 20 minutes by bus, arrive at Anna Bay in Port Stephens and spend about 1.5 hours on the dunes. If you wish, ride a camel for 20–30 minutes at Oakfield Ranch or head into the dunes by 4WD for 40–60 minutes of sandboarding. Both activities are purchased separately on site. Then return to your starting point, about 2.5 hours away.
