From Sydney: Wildlife & Waterfalls & Wine Day Tour - Small Group

Head to Royal National Park
by small-group minibus from Sydney

Depart at 7:30 AM (7:15 AM from December 16 to January 31) from the front of Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay. In a small group of no more than 11, travel by comfortable minibus south along the beaches of Botany Bay to Royal National Park.

Meet koalas at Symbio Wildlife Park

Pass through the forest to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park, which is actively involved in koala conservation. During a private koala encounter with a keeper, ask everything you've wanted to know about koalas and take a photo with one. Feed kangaroos and wallabies and get close to Australian native animals.

Pass coastal lookouts
and have lunch at a beachside café

At Bald Hill Lookout, where hang gliders and paragliders take off, look out over the Illawarra coastline and the Sea Cliff Bridge. Follow the Grand Pacific Drive across the Sea Cliff Bridge, which stretches over the ocean, to Bulli Beach for lunch at a local café overlooking the beach and ocean pool. Lunch comes with a glass of Australian wine, beer, juice or soft drink.

See waterfalls in Morton National Park
and taste wine at a winery

In the afternoon, travel through temperate rainforest up to the Southern Highlands. Take an easy hike to a lookout over the sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of Morton National Park. Then follow country roads to a boutique winery to taste locally produced cool-climate wines, arriving back at Circular Quay around 6:30 PM.
