Exceeded expectations. Winston, (our pilot), was professional and gave great information about points of interest as we were flying. You see so much that you would otherwise miss from driving. Its a small plane so definitely more of a thrill than larger planes, but well worth the cost.

Wir haben den Flug zum Milford Sound (und zurück) in Kombi mit einer Bootsfahrt gebucht und waren besonders von den Flügen sehr begeistert. Die Aussichten auf die Berge, Gletscher und Seen sind wirklich atemberaubend. Unser Pilot Winston hat uns immer wieder spannende Infos während des Flugs gegeben. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt. Jeder Passagier hatte einen Fensterplatz. Hervorzuheben ist auch die gute Organisation zwischen den Flügen und der Bootsfahrt. Ein einmaliges und unvergessliches Erlebnis für uns.

Was an awesome experience!! The views were incredibly beautiful and majestic! Informative guide. Really appreciated the whole experience!! The internal communications and head sets were not very clear so we missed some of what our guide said. Would be great if the boat cruise could be rebooked by your group, with our communication, when weather prevents the scheduled ride. Thanks!

The trip was very well organised and on time. The flight over to Milford Sound and back was amazing. I took some fabulous shots. It helped that the weather was fantastic. The cruise up the Sound was also fantastic and the calm conditions allowed us to get up close to one of the waterfalls, and to some seals sunning themselves on some rocks. This trip was definitely worth the cost, and would thoroughly recommend it.

Best way to visit Milford Sound, the flight was better than the cruise. Highly recommend the pilot Henry.

Fly over the Southern Alps
from Wanaka

This scenic flight departs from Wanaka Airport and crosses Te Wāhipounamu (South Westland), a UNESCO World Heritage Area. It is a small-group flight where every passenger gets a window seat, with in-flight commentary from your pilot.

Cross Lake Wanaka into Mt Aspiring National Park, then fly over the rugged Southern Alps into Fiordland National Park. From above, take in remote alpine lakes between snowy peaks and glaciers, rainforest and cascading waterfalls, and the vast Olivine Ice Plateau hidden among the mountains.

Land at Milford Sound
and enjoy a nature cruise

After flying the full length of Milford Sound, land and board a nature cruise. Weather permitting, cruise the 16 km Sound out to the Tasman Sea, taking in thundering waterfalls, sheer cliffs and Mitre Peak rising from the sea.

Complimentary tea and coffee are provided on board, and food and drinks are available to purchase. You may spot seals, dolphins, penguins and a variety of birds.

Return to Wanaka
via the Dart Valley and Glenorchy

When the cruise returns to the wharf, your pilot will be ready to take you back to the aircraft. The return flight takes a different route through the Dart Valley and over Glenorchy, known as a Lord of the Rings filming location.

Then fly over the blue waters of the Shotover River, where gold was discovered in 1862, and return to the meeting point in Wanaka after about 4 hours.
