in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park

Cross the distinctive landscape of the Mackenzie Country on your way to Mount Cook National Park. Also known as Aoraki, Maori for "cloud piercer," Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain and is famous for scenery of peaks over 3,000 m and glaciers.

Take a lunch break in Mount Cook Village with views of the mountains. Lunch is not included and is at your own expense.

Visit Lake Tekapo and
the Church of the Good Shepherd

Stop at glacier-fed Lake Tekapo to admire its blue waters. You can also visit the small, peaceful Church of the Good Shepherd, just a few meters from the lakeshore.

Cross the Southern Alps foothills and
Canterbury Plains to Christchurch

On the way to Christchurch, enjoy views of the Southern Alps and the farmland of the Canterbury Plains. In the town of Geraldine, you can see an early settlers' cottage. The tour ends on Lichfield Street in Christchurch.
