Walk the Edo-era streetscape
of Kurazukuri Street

Stroll Kurazukuri Street (about 2 hours), lined with warehouse buildings with clay-tiled roofs, admire the traditional architecture and discover hidden corners, photo spots and local shops. At the Kawagoe Kurazukuri Museum (about 30 minutes), you can see traditional arts and crafts.

Taste local snacks and traditional sweets
at Kashiya Yokocho

Explore Kashiya Yokocho, Kawagoe’s candy alley, to discover local specialties, and taste regional dishes and traditional snacks while your guide explains their history and how they are made. Food and drink costs are not included.

Visit temples, shrines and historic landmarks such as Kawagoe Castle Honmaru Goten, Kawagoe Hachimangu and Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine (about 30 minutes each), hearing stories passed down through the town.
