Highlights

Leave Tokyo and climb up to
Arakurayama Sengen Park
After pickup at your Tokyo hotel, drive about 2.5 hours to Yamanashi. At the first stop, Arakurayama Sengen Park, climb 397 steps to a viewpoint where the Chureito Pagoda, Fujiyoshida city, and Mt. Fuji fit in one frame. Spend about 1 hour taking photos and exploring.
Stroll around Oishi Park on Lake Kawaguchi
At Oishi Park, take a walk while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji across the lake. Lavender blooms in summer and kochia turns red in autumn. You will have free time for lunch by the lake, and the local hoto noodles are a good choice (lunch not included).
Discover whisky at the Suntory Hakushu Distillery
Spend about 1 hour 20 minutes at the Suntory Hakushu Distillery, surrounded by deep forest. Learn about Suntory's 100-year history at the whisky museum and explore the distillery grounds, gift shop, and the Hakushu Terrace in the woods. The factory production line tour is not included.
In the tasting lounge, you can choose from over 25 whiskies to taste (tasting fees extra). Limited-edition Hakushu whisky may be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 1 bottle per person (age 20+), depending on daily stock. After the visit, drive about 2.5 hours back to Tokyo.
