This mother-of-pearl craft experience of about 90 minutes takes place at a workshop about a 3-minute walk from Myeongdong Station. Following your instructor's guidance, you design and make your own piece in a self-guided style.

Learn about mother-of-pearl craft over a welcome drink

The experience starts with a welcome and an introduction of about 10 minutes. Enjoy a welcome drink while hearing a brief explanation of najeon, the traditional Korean mother-of-pearl craft.

Make your own mother-of-pearl piece

Next, spend about 1 hour and 10 minutes making a traditional accessory. Depending on the option you booked, you make a mother-of-pearl accessory (norigae, keychain or binyeo hairpin), a mother-of-pearl frame or mirror, or mother-of-pearl chopsticks. With the bundle (A+B), you make both a frame or mirror and an accessory.

Take your finished piece home

You can take your finished mother-of-pearl creation home as soon as the experience ends. It makes a one-of-a-kind souvenir to remember your time in Seoul.
