Tours & activities worldwide.
This full-day tour lets you enjoy both the sea and the forests of Ishigaki Island. Paddle slowly through the mangroves by kayak or SUP (stand-up paddleboard), and explore the traditional houses and culture of the Yaeyama Islands at Yaima Village. In the afternoon, admire the view of Kabira Bay, snorkel at the Blue Cave among tropical fish and coral, and cool off at Arakawa Falls. Snorkeling starts from the beach, so there is no worry about seasickness, and it is suitable for first-time snorkelers and children.

From mangrove SUP and kayaking to the Blue Cave,
enjoy Ishigaki in one day
After pickup in Misakicho, you stop by the operator's shop (about 30 minutes) and head to Yaima Village. A guide with local knowledge accompanies you all day, sharing stories about Ishigaki Island and local tips.
Explore Yaima Village and paddle through the mangroves

Yaima Village is a theme park recreating the traditional architecture of the Yaeyama Islands, where the sound of the sanshin (a traditional three-stringed instrument) drifts from red-tiled houses registered as National Tangible Cultural Properties. There is also a water buffalo pond, a crested serpent eagle sanctuary and a squirrel monkey area, and you can look for wild birds from the observation deck.
Next, glide leisurely through the mangrove forest by kayak or SUP and experience nature in a different way from snorkeling. The guided tour and kayak/SUP session take about 2 hours.
Admire Kabira Bay and snorkel at the Blue Cave

After a break and lunch time at the shop (about 1.5 hours; lunch is not included and eating at a local cafe costs extra), head to the Kabira Park observation deck. While you enjoy the view of Kabira Bay, famous for its emerald water and white sand, your guide takes photos for you (about 15 minutes).
Then go to the Blue Cave, whose color changes with the tide and the position of the sun, and snorkel for about 1.5 hours. You enter the water from the beach, so there is no worry about seasickness, and you may see tropical fish, coral and, with luck, sea turtles and clownfish.
Finish by cooling off at Arakawa Falls
After snorkeling, stop at Arakawa Falls to rinse off the salt and sand in cool fresh water and relax (about 15 minutes). After a short rest at the shop (about 30 minutes), you return to Misakicho.
※ Sea turtles and other marine life live in the wild, so sightings are not guaranteed.
※ A visit to the Blue Cave is not guaranteed and depends on weather and sea conditions. The itinerary and order of visits may change depending on local conditions.
