You can choose the admission ticket alone or options bundled with the Alishan Forest Railway Zhaoping Branch Line, the park's electric shuttle, a Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Alishan Line round-trip ticket or Fenqihu food. Show your QR code at the exchange point at the entrance to enter.

Alishan is not a single mountain but the name for this mountain area, one of Taiwan's five major mountain ranges. It was Taiwan's largest forest farm from 1912 to the late 1960s, and about 40 giant red cypress trees still stand along the Stage 1 and 2 Giant Tree Trails. The largest, the Xianglin Sacred Tree, is 45 meters tall, 12.3 meters around and about 2,300 years old.
The park is home to animals such as Formosan macaques and Mikado pheasants as well as rare plants, and sights such as Sister Ponds, Shouzhen Temple, Ciyun Temple and the Alishan Museum.

The Alishan sea of clouds is counted among Taiwan's eight great views. The area is also famous for the sunrise seen from Zhushan, with cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring, cool forests in summer, autumn foliage and seas of clouds in winter.

Railway options include a one-way ticket on the Alishan Forest Railway Zhaoping Branch Line (Alishan Station–Zhaoping Station). The electric shuttle is an eco-friendly vehicle running inside the park, from Visitor Center Station to Zhaoping Station (about 2.2 km, about 10 minutes), Xianglin Station (about 1.8 km, about 8 minutes) and Zhushan Station (about 5.5 km, about 35 minutes). Depending on the option, you can choose a Zhushan Line one-way or round-trip ticket or a one-day pass.

The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Alishan Line round-trip option takes you by bus between Alishan and Chiayi HSR Station (Line A) or Chiayi Station (Line B). The Fenqihu food option includes a railway bento, Fenqihu rice cake and an old street doughnut, and the Sunrise Shop option includes a voucher for sunrise cake and millet mochi.
※ Weather changes a lot in the mountains. Please check the park status on the Forestry Bureau website (https://www.forest.gov.tw/) before you go.
※ All or part of the park may close temporarily due to natural disasters or at the decision of the management authority.
