Take Sindo Ferry from Tanah Merah
to Batam and Bintan

Sindo Ferry connects Singapore with the Indonesian islands of Batam and Bintan across the Singapore Strait. From Tanah Merah, it takes about one hour to Batam Centre and about two hours to Tanjung Pinang on Bintan Island. The Batam Centre route runs four times a day, and the Tanjung Pinang route runs once a day on weekdays and twice a day on weekends and Singapore public holidays.

Modern ferries with comfortable seating

Since 2011, Sindo Ferry has invested over SGD 2 million in modernising its fleet and recently added three new passenger ferries for a total of SGD 19 million. All vessels comply with HSC Code 2000 safety requirements, and 15 passenger ferries are currently in operation. Complimentary mineral water is provided on board.

Collect your boarding pass at the terminal counter

Show your mobile voucher at the Sindo Ferry counter at your departure terminal, collect your boarding pass, clear immigration and board the ferry. Each traveller may check in up to 20 kg of baggage. When departing from Tanjung Pinang, the Tanjung Pinang terminal fee must be paid separately at the terminal.
