About the Host

In this class, you will make authentic sushi with a Japanese instructor in a spacious studio near Dotonbori in Namba, Osaka. Your fluent English-speaking instructor will guide you step by step, from an introduction to Japanese food culture to preparing sushi rice. Program

Learn to make sushi
in a spacious studio in Namba

The class takes about 90 minutes in a studio about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station. After a warm welcome and an introduction to Japanese food culture in English, you will learn how to make perfect sushi rice under the guidance of your instructor. This hands-on class is great for solo travelers, couples and families.

Enjoy the sushi you made on the spot

In both options, you will make 10 pieces of sushi yourself. Enjoy your sushi as a meal on the spot; soft drinks and alcoholic beverages can be ordered separately during the class.

Make your own matcha

With the Sushi & Matcha Cultural Experience option, you will also make a cup of matcha in addition to 10 pieces of sushi. Get a taste of Japanese tea culture in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Receive a Sushi Master certificate and a souvenir

At the end of the class, you will receive a Sushi Master certificate and a cute Japanese souvenir. If anyone in your group is vegetarian, vegetable-based ingredients will be used instead of fish toppings.
