Walk Ikuno's shopping streets
with a local guide

Meet your guide near JR Teradacho Station and walk about 15 minutes to Ikuno. Ikuno is a neighborhood still little known to international visitors, where you can step away from Osaka's famous sights and see how locals actually live.

Stroll a traditional Japanese shotengai and learn how these shopping streets developed and why they have long been an important part of residents' daily lives. Your guide, born and raised in Osaka, introduces small independent shops, local specialties, and neighborhood stories.

Learn useful phrases in a mini Japanese lesson

As you walk, a mini Japanese lesson teaches you a few simple phrases you can use right away. No Japanese skills are needed.

Shop at local stores using your new Japanese
