After visiting the less crowded Natural Great Wall at Yangjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, famous for its sea of clouds, you'll ride a cable car comfortably back down. Program
Ride up the Bailong Elevator
and walk Yuanjiajie, the setting of Avatar Mountain
Your guide and private driver meet you in the hotel lobby and set off for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. At the entrance, ride the Bailong Elevator up the cliff and reach the top in 88 seconds, saving your energy for hiking. From the glass elevator, you can look down on countless karst peaks.
At the top, your guide takes a shortcut to a viewpoint overlooking the 'Avatar' Hallelujah Mountain. Then follow the cliffside trails of Yuanjiajie to see natural landmarks such as the Back Garden, Enchanting Terrace and the First Bridge Under Heaven.
See the Natural Great Wall at Yangjiajie
Take the park shuttle to the relatively less crowded Yangjiajie and admire the 'Natural Great Wall', a row of pine-covered sandstone peaks. Lunch is on your own: eat at a mountaintop restaurant or fast-food outlet, or bring snacks (meals not included).
Admire the peaks and sea of clouds at Tianzi Mountain
At Tianzi Mountain, known as a 'giant bonsai', admire the sea of clouds around Imperial Brush Peak and Fairy Presenting Flowers. Then ride the cable car down comfortably while enjoying views of the forest.
Return comfortably to your hotel
After the tour, your guide and driver take you back to your hotel. All entrance tickets, park shuttles, the Bailong Elevator and the Tianzi Mountain cable car are included, so there's no need to buy tickets on site.
