Highlights

Ride the Bailong Elevator up to Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for the floating mountains in the film Avatar, and walk across the 430 m long, 300 m high Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. At Tianmen Mountain, ride the 7,455 m cable car up to Tianmen Cave above the 999 steps and the glass skywalk. Hotel pickup in Zhangjiajie, a private vehicle, a professional driver and a foreign-language guide are included, and depending on the option you can join as a small group or a private tour.

Explore Zhangjiajie's mountains and canyons
with a guide
After pickup from your hotel in Zhangjiajie, you travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle with a professional driver and a foreign-language guide. On day 1 you visit Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and on day 2 the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge and Tianmen Mountain. Private options are for your group only, and the 2-day itinerary can be adjusted to your preferences.
Ride the Bailong Elevator up to Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain
Enter Zhangjiajie National Forest Park through the Wulingyuan East Gate and take the shuttle bus to the Bailong Elevator. Known as the world's highest outdoor elevator, it takes you to the mountaintop in about 1 minute 30 seconds.
In the morning, walk around Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for the Hallelujah Mountains in Avatar, and see the Southern Sky Column, the First Bridge Under Heaven and Mihun Platform. After a simple lunch on the mountain, head to Tianzi Mountain in the afternoon to see Imperial Brush Peak, Fairy Presenting Flowers and He Long Park, then ride the Tianzi Mountain cable car down and leave the park.
Cross the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge and take a boat on Shenquan Lake
On the morning of day 2, you are picked up at your hotel and drive about 1 hour to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Cross the 430 m long, 300 m high glass bridge, follow Route B across the canyon and take a boat ride on Shenquan Lake. You spend about 3-4 hours at the Grand Canyon.
Ride the cable car up to Tianmen Cave on Tianmen Mountain
After lunch, head to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station in the city. Ride the 7,455 m cable car up (about 30 minutes each way) and explore the 999 steps, Tianmen Cave, the glass skywalk and the Ghost Valley Plank Road. After riding back down, you are taken to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station or Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport, where the tour ends.
