Program
Head to the Chianti vineyards in a 4x4 vehicle
Meet your English-speaking guide at Santa Maria Novella station in Florence and board a customized air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle. Chianti is a hilly region between Florence and Siena, known for Chianti Classico wine made from Sangiovese grapes. Drive along off-road tracks between the vineyards that regular vehicles can't easily reach and enjoy the Tuscan countryside up close.
Winery cellar tour and wine tasting
Tour the winery's wine cellar to learn how wine is made, and taste several wines. You'll also try extra virgin olive oil, cheese and cured meats. The full-day tour visits 2 wineries in the heart of Chianti Classico and tastes Chianti Classico DOCG wines, while the morning half-day tour visits a family-run organic winery.
Traditional Tuscan lunch or dinner
The full-day tour includes a Tuscan lunch of appetizers and fresh pasta at a winery restaurant. The morning half-day tour includes a lunch of appetizers and handmade pasta served with wine.
Afternoon tour: sunset viewpoint and outdoor dinner
After the off-road drive through the vineyards, the afternoon half-day tour enjoys wine at a viewpoint where you can watch the sunset, followed by a tasting at a boutique winery. Finally, you'll have dinner outdoors with appetizers, handmade pasta, dessert and wine.
* The full-day tour takes about 9 hours (departs at 09:00), the morning half-day tour about 6 hours (departs at 08:30), and the afternoon half-day tour about 6 hours (departs at 14:30).
