Highlights
This 6-hour tour departs from Florence and takes you through the Chianti hills on a Piaggio Vespa, scooter or Fiat Topolino electric car. Follow your tour leader and support vehicle along about 35 km of relaxed country roads past vineyards, olive groves and medieval villages. Visit a Chianti winery to see the wine cellar and taste wine and olive oil, then enjoy a Tuscan meal made with local specialties. You can choose from a solo Vespa or scooter, a Vespa for two, or an electric car for 1 to 2 people.
Program
Depart from Florence and get a safety briefing
Depart from the meeting point in Florence. When you arrive in the Tuscan countryside, you will receive a safety briefing on the Vespa, scooter or electric car before the route begins. Depending on the option you booked, you will ride a Piaggio Vespa for 1 person, a Vespa for 2 people (driver + passenger), a Piaggio scooter for 1 person, or an electric car for 1 to 2 people.
Ride through the Chianti hills and Impruneta
Follow your tour leader and support vehicle along winding roads through the Chianti hills. The route is about 35 km round trip, mostly on paved back roads with very little traffic, at an average speed of about 20 km/h. You will pass through Impruneta, a village long known for its terracotta (fired clay) crafts, and stop for photos around Chiocchio.
Wine & Olive Oil Tasting at a Chianti Winery
Visit a winery in the Chianti region to see the wine cellar, taste wine and olive oil, and hear about local winemaking. You will also enjoy a typical Tuscan meal made with local specialties at a countryside farm.
