Dotonbori Museum Namikiza is a hands-on museum that opened in Dotonbori in March 2019, telling the story of Dotonbori as a 'theater city' with about 400 years of history. This is a ticket for the Taiken (experience) course with a live guide, including a kabuki actor makeover photo and a revolving stage experience. Your guide on this trip through time is 'Tadano Kitsunebu', a kabuki-loving baby fox disguised as a human. Through videos and quizzes, you can also enjoy learning about the history of kabuki and bunraku and the stage devices that were born in Dotonbori.

The Taiken course consists of a live guide, videos and quizzes, and a museum visit. 'Tadano Kitsunebu', a kabuki-loving baby fox disguised as a human, accompanies you and introduces rare footage of the revolving stage of the former Konpira Kabuki theater, an Important Cultural Property.

A kabuki actor makeover photo and a hand-turned revolving stage experience are included. Tadano Kitsunebu helps you with the photo and the experience.

Videos and quizzes make it easy to learn about the roughly 400-year history of Dotonbori as a theater town, the three great masterpieces of kabuki and bunraku, and the stage devices that began in Dotonbori and spread around the world.

After the guided program, you are free to explore the museum, including a scaled-down reconstruction of the interior of an Edo-period kabuki theater in Dotonbori.
※ The course duration of 30 minutes to 1 hour is an average.
