After a drive of about 1 hour, you spend around 2 hours on a guided tour and sightseeing in the Merapi area before returning to your hotel. An English-speaking driver accompanies you.

You can choose an option with the jeep ticket included or one where you pay for the jeep ticket on site, as well as an early-morning sunrise jeep tour. On this tour, you can see the traces left by the 2010 eruption of Mount Merapi and learn what the eruption looked like. On a clear day, you can also take in the view of Mount Merapi, one of Indonesia's best-known active volcanoes. If you want to play in the river, bringing a change of clothes is a good idea.

You travel between your hotel in central Yogyakarta and Mount Merapi in an air-conditioned vehicle. The driver will text you the details before pickup, and bottled water and parking fees are included.
