This private guided tour departs from Yogyakarta city or Yogyakarta International Airport. First you descend into Jomblang Cave to explore an ancient forest and underground passage, then float along an underground river on a tube in Pindul Cave. A professional guide, safety and tubing equipment, entrance tickets for both caves and lunch are included.

Descend into Jomblang Cave on a rope

Jomblang Cave is a vertical sinkhole formed when the ground collapsed. Wearing a harness, helmet and boots, you are lowered to the bottom on a single rope operated by hand by the professional guide team. At the bottom lies a lush ancient forest with plants different from those on the surface.

See the "light from heaven" in Grubug Cave

Walk through the roughly 300 m underground passage that connects Jomblang Cave and Grubug Cave. Sunlight pours through an opening in the cave roof and reflects on the underground river; the light is best between 10 AM and 12 PM (local time).

Float along Pindul Cave's underground river

Next, head to Pindul Cave, put on a tube and life jacket, and drift slowly along the roughly 350 m underground river. Admire still-growing stalactites and stalagmites, including the largest stalactite in Pindul Cave, as you pass through the light, dark and complete-darkness zones.

If you wish, you can jump from a cliff into the river near the cave exit. After the tour you return to Yogyakarta city or Yogyakarta International Airport.
