This is a day tour of about 10 hours to the Gunungkidul area southeast of Yogyakarta in an air-conditioned vehicle. An English-speaking driver picks you up in Yogyakarta, takes you to Pindul Cave and Timang Beach, and brings you back to Yogyakarta at the end. Fuel and parking fees are included, and the tour is available for individuals or small groups.

Float along the underground river of Pindul Cave on a tube

After about 1 hour 30 minutes by car from Yogyakarta, you arrive at Pindul Cave, a natural limestone cave. After a safety briefing, you sit in a rubber tube and float along the calm underground river flowing through the cave.

Stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years line the ceiling, and sunlight sometimes shines in through a hole in the roof. You spend about 2 hours 30 minutes here, including a guided tour, photo stops and free time.

Relax at Timang Beach where cliffs meet the sea

A drive of about 1 hour from Pindul Cave brings you to Timang Beach on the Gunungkidul coast. Enjoy the rocky, hilly coastline, towering cliffs and blue sea for about 1 hour 30 minutes as you rest, walk and take photos. The drive back to Yogyakarta takes about 1 hour 40 minutes.
