Snorkelling, Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet
in one day by speedboat
After a bus pick-up from your nearest Airlie Beach meeting point, head out to the Whitsunday Islands by speedboat. Over about 7 hours you will snorkel a fringing reef of the Great Barrier Reef, have a picnic lunch on Whitehaven Beach and visit Hill Inlet Lookout, while the crew shares interesting stories about the islands.
Snorkel a fringing reef of the Great Barrier Reef

The first stop is a secluded snorkelling spot far from the shore. Spend about an hour snorkelling the fringing reef and exploring the marine life of the Whitsunday coast. Snorkelling gear and flotation devices (pool noodles and life jackets) are provided, plus stinger suits during stinger season (November–May).
Enjoy a picnic lunch on Whitehaven Beach

Continue to world-famous Whitehaven Beach, relax on the sand and enjoy a fresh buffet of salads, prawns, meat platters, fruit salad, bread rolls and wraps. Afternoon cake is also served.
Look out over the sea from Hill Inlet Lookout

Back on the boat, head to the final stop, Hill Inlet Lookout. Spend about an hour taking in panoramic views of the pristine coastline and sea before returning to shore. From July to September, keep an eye out for migrating humpback whales.
※ Humpback whales are wild animals, so sightings are not guaranteed.
※ You may get splashed on the speedboat in rainy or windy weather.
