Safari World Bangkok is an open-air wildlife park covering over 480 acres on the northeastern outskirts of Bangkok. Opened in 1988, it recreates an African savanna, offering scenery completely different from central Bangkok. The park is divided into two zones: the drive-through Safari Park and the walkable Marine Park.

Drive through the Safari Park

The Safari Park is an 8 km, 45-minute drive-through loop where you stay inside a vehicle: a private car, taxi or the park's air-conditioned coach bus. Herds of giraffes, zebras, rhinos, camels, ostriches and antelope walk right next to the road across wide grasslands. In the Carnivore Zone behind double gates, see Bengal tigers, African lions and black bears up close from your locked vehicle, and pass through the Bird Sanctuary, home to storks, pelicans and ibises.

Feed animals and enjoy shows in the Marine Park

The Marine Park is a walkable zone with land animals, tropical gardens and shows throughout the day. At the Giraffe Terrace, stand on a raised platform and hand-feed giraffes with bananas and carrots, and in the Mini World aviary, parrots land on your hands to eat.

Seven live shows a day include a dolphin show, sea lion show, orangutan boxing show and stunt shows with live explosions and jet-ski chases. There is also the Jungle Cruise, a 30-minute boat ride through simulated Asian and African jungles, and swan pedal boats on the lake.
