Bangkok Golf Club opened in 1993. Twelve large lakes and mature trees frame the course, and water is in play on all but three holes, so precision counts more than length. The course is not long, at about 6,700 yards from the back tees and about 5,300 yards from the front tees, and five sets of tees let every golfer find a suitable challenge.

The greens use closely mown TifEagle grass for fast, consistent putting, and the Zoysia fairways keep playing conditions even all year round. The Asian Tour's Volvo Masters was held here in 2003.

Take on the island-green par 3s

Three of the four par 3s play over water. The signature 5th hole is an island green sitting in the middle of a large man-made lake. It is only 150 yards from the back tee, but anything that misses the green ends up in the water. The 11th is also an island green, but a fringe around it makes it less daunting than the 5th.

On the par-5 9th and 12th, water runs from tee to green, and a bunker more than 170 yards long greets you on the 9th tee. On the 13th, the course's largest lake, over 550 yards long, runs the full length of the fairway, so plan your strategy carefully.

Enjoy a round under the lights

All 18 holes are floodlit, so you can keep playing after sunset. With this product you choose a morning, afternoon or night tee-off on weekdays or weekends. Check in at the clubhouse, get ready in the locker room and head to the starter to begin your round.
