Kota Kinabalu: Gaya Island Catamaran Snorkeling & Sailing Tour with Meal

Board a catamaran and
set sail for Gaya Island

Take the pickup vehicle from your hotel to Sutera Harbour Marina, where the catamaran is waiting. Once on board, sail along the coast of Gaya Island for about 1 hour, taking in the Kota Kinabalu skyline, nearby islands and tropical forest. A guide leads all activities, and guiding is provided in English and Chinese.

Snorkel straight from the boat

There is no need to dock at a pier: at a snorkeling spot off Gaya Island you jump straight from the boat into the water. At this uncrowded spot you can see coral reefs and schools of tropical fish, and with luck even sea turtles. Snorkeling masks, tubes and life jackets are provided.

Enjoy paddleboarding and kayaking too

After snorkeling, you can try stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking as you like. Time for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding is about 2 hours 30 minutes. You can rinse off at the outdoor shower at the back of the catamaran.

Lunch on board in the morning, a sunset dinner cruise in the afternoon

In the morning session (09:00–13:30), enjoy lunch on board, relax and swim, then return to the jetty and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon session (15:00–19:30), sail to a sunset viewpoint and have dinner on board as the sun goes down, then cruise along the illuminated Kota Kinabalu waterfront after dark. You return to the jetty at 19:30 and transfer to your hotel.
