From Kota Kinabalu: Klias River Cruise & Fireflies Tour with Dinner

Cruise the Klias River past
mangrove forests and wildlife

Leave your accommodation in Kota Kinabalu around 2:00 PM and travel by vehicle to the Klias River jetty. After a safety briefing at the visitor center, board a river boat and start cruising through the waterways of the mangrove forest.

Spot proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat

The cruise starts around 5:00 PM. Together with your English-speaking guide, look for proboscis monkeys in the riverside trees. You may also see other native wildlife living in the mangrove ecosystem, such as macaques and exotic birds.

Watch the sunset on the river and enjoy dinner

Around 6:00 PM, watch the sunset over the river. Return to the jetty around 6:30 PM and enjoy a Malaysian dinner at the visitor center. Light refreshments are also served during the tour.

See fireflies along the riverbank after dark

Around 7:30 PM, admire the fireflies along the riverbank, then drive back to Kota Kinabalu. Drop-off is at the same place as pickup.
