The tour begins when your driver-guide picks you up at the scheduled time. Travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with a professional English-speaking driver-guide and visit Batu Caves, central Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya in turn over about 8 hours.

Climb the 272 steps at Batu Caves

On the way to Batu Caves, your guide explains the rules and dress code for the temple, as it is a place of worship. On arrival, the 140-foot statue of Lord Murugan greets you, and you climb 272 colorful steps to the cave temple. You can also see murals of Hindu scriptures and the macaques living on the cliffs.

Tour the city from the Royal Palace to the Petronas Twin Towers

Back in Kuala Lumpur, see the official residence of the King of Malaysia (Istana Negara), the National Mosque known for its modernist architecture, and the Moorish-style Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. Stop at Merdeka Square (Independence Square), surrounded by colonial-era buildings, and the River of Life, where the Gombak and Klang rivers meet. You can also walk to the nearby KL Gallery to see historic photos.

Next, visit the 421 m Kuala Lumpur Tower, pass through the Golden Triangle commercial and shopping district, and take photos at the 452 m Petronas Twin Towers.

See the pink-domed Putra Mosque in Putrajaya

After about a 45-minute drive to Putrajaya, take photos at the Palace of Justice and admire the Putra Mosque with its striking pink dome from the outside. Visit Putra Square, surrounded by modern buildings, and learn about Malaysia's seat of government near the Prime Minister's and ministers' residences. At the end of the tour, your driver-guide drops you off at your chosen location.
