Ho Chi Minh City Departure: Mui Ne Sand Dunes Jeep Day Tour with Round-Trip Sleeper Bus

Ride a sleeper bus from Ho Chi Minh City
and explore Mui Ne's dunes and coast in a day

This day tour starts in the morning on Pham Ngu Lao Street in District 1 and takes you to Mui Ne by sleeper bus. In Mui Ne, you ride a jeep to Fairy Stream, the fishing village, Hon Rom Beach, the White Sand Dunes and the Red Sand Dunes, then return to Ho Chi Minh City by sleeper bus in the evening. The tour ends at the original meeting point at around 10:00 PM.

Travel comfortably on an air-conditioned sleeper bus

Arrive at the meeting point by 7:45 AM, then take a minibus for about 30 minutes to 90 Mai Chi Tho Street in District 2, where you board the sleeper bus. The ride from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne takes about 4 hours each way, with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning on board. Along the way, you will see Vietnamese countryside that is rarely seen from the city.

On arrival in Mui Ne, head to the operator's office at 16 Huynh Thuc Khang Street. Lunch is not included, so you are free to eat wherever you like in town. Return to the office at 1:00 PM to start the jeep tour.

Visit Fairy Stream, the fishing village and Hon Rom Beach

Your first stop, Fairy Stream, is a creek lined with sandstone formations where you can walk barefoot on soft sand and take plenty of photos. Afterwards, wash your feet and enjoy one cold drink. Next, see local fishermen at work in a fishing village filled with boats, then stop briefly by the road at Hon Rom Beach for photos with your jeep. Your driver will also help take pictures.

See the desert scenery of the White and Red Sand Dunes

At the White Sand Dunes, you can rent an ATV to drive yourself or buy a passenger ticket on site at your own cost. On an ATV, you head to the highest dune for the view and then to the Lotus Lake. At the Red Sand Dunes, the last stop of the day, climb to the top of the dune to look out over the beach and town, and catch the sunset if weather and timing allow. After the tour, your driver takes you to the bus stop for Ho Chi Minh City.
