Old Delhi Street Food, Spice Market & Temples Walking Tour

If you’re looking for just one tour to experience Old Delhi, I highly recommend this one; it honestly has everything! In just three hours, we visited a beautiful Jain temple, explored Chandni Chowk, tried amazing street food, visited a Gurudwara and its incredible community kitchen, wandered through hidden lanes, the spice and dry fruit markets, and enjoyed one of the best chai I’ve ever had. We also explored the area around Jama Masjid and finished with a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi. The host was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. He carefully selected places where the food was fresh, safe, and genuinely local. After a while, it felt less like a tour and more like exploring Delhi with a friend. So much food, history, culture, and local life packed into a few hours without ever feeling rushed. A fantastic way to experience the real Old Delhi beyond the usual tourist spots. Highly recommended!

This was honestly one of the best ways to experience Old Delhi in a few hours. If someone asked me what one tour they should do in Delhi I would tell them to do this one because it is not just a food tour. You get food, history, culture, temples, markets, a spice market, a Gurudwara and even a rickshaw ride. We started with a Jain temple which was absolutely beautiful and very interesting because we were able to go inside and learn about the history and traditions. Then we walked through Chandni Chowk and the busy lanes of Old Delhi while trying different street foods. What I really liked was that the food did not feel random. The host has been doing these tours for more than 11 years and every place seemed carefully chosen. The food was freshly prepared and I felt very comfortable trying everything. The host was incredibly warm and friendly and after a while it genuinely felt like a friend was showing us around his city.

Amazing Old Delhi experience! Guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel like we were exploring the city with a local friend. I enjoyed the heritage, street food, spice market, and colorful bazaars. The stories and local insights made the tour really special. JD war ein wirklich angenehmer Guide und Gesprächspartner. Ich war alleine mit ihm auf Tour, da nur ich mich für die spätere Tour angemeldet hatte. Mein Glück! Seine Geschichten waren spannend. Er interessiert sich wirklich sehr für die Menschen seiner Stadt. Dad Streetfood war lecker und ich habe auch alles sehr gut vertragen. Die Locations hat er gut ausgesucht. Vor allem die Massenverköstigung im Sikh-Tempel war echt eindrücklich. So einen Einblick hätte ich sonst nie bekommen. Vor allem müsste man sich dafür auch alleine in den Trubel trauen! Mit JD war alles kein Problem.
