in one day
This package combines a guided morning city tour with an evening desert safari. In the morning, explore Abu Dhabi's main sights with an English-speaking guide, and return to your hotel to rest between tours. In the afternoon, an English-speaking driver guide picks you up again from your hotel.
Explore the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The city tour begins at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. For about 1 hour 30 minutes, admire the mosque's structure decorated with gold, marble, stone and crystal, and feel the scale of a building that can hold about 40,000 people at once.
Visit the Heritage Village and the dates market
Next, head to Yas Island and Saadiyat Island and drive past Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009. Browse the Abu Dhabi Dates Market for about 30 minutes and drive along the Corniche by the Arabian Sea. You'll stop briefly for photos at Emirates Palace.
At the Abu Dhabi Heritage Village, a reconstructed Emirati village, get a glimpse of the traditional Bedouin way of life. Lunch is not included.
Ride over the desert dunes in a 4x4
In the afternoon, you'll be picked up from your hotel and driven about 70 minutes to the desert. Enjoy about 30 minutes of dune bashing over steep dunes in a 4x4 vehicle, and stop at a camel farm in the middle of the desert to meet the camels.
Enjoy shows and a BBQ dinner at a Bedouin camp
At the desert camp, you'll be welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. Try sandboarding and a camel ride, and enjoy cultural activities such as henna painting, shisha, and photos in traditional Arabic costume with a falcon. Quad biking is available at an extra cost.
After sunset, watch Tanoura and belly dance performances under the desert sky while enjoying a BBQ dinner buffet and unlimited soft drinks. When the show ends and the camp lights go out, take a moment to gaze at the starry desert before returning to your hotel.
※ The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque cannot be visited during Islamic festivals and public holidays.
※ Tanoura and belly dance performances do not take place during Ramadan and on some UAE public holidays.
