Highlights
This desert safari picks you up at your accommodation in Abu Dhabi and takes you to the Al Khatim Desert, where golden sand dunes stretch out before you. Enjoy thrilling dune bashing across the dunes in a Land Cruiser, plus a traditional camel ride and sandboarding, all in one day. If you choose the option with quad biking, you can also ride a quad bike yourself for 30 minutes in a designated area. As the sun sets, wrap up the day at a traditional Arabian-style desert camp with a BBQ dinner buffet and Tanoura dance, belly dance and fire shows.
Program
Get picked up in Abu Dhabi
and head to the Al Khatim Desert
You are picked up by 4x4 vehicle from your accommodation or chosen location in Abu Dhabi. Leave the city behind and travel to the Al Khatim Desert with its rolling golden dunes.
Dune bashing across the dunes in a Land Cruiser
Enjoy dune bashing up and down the sand dunes in a Land Cruiser driven by a professional driver. With the quad bike option, you ride a quad bike across the sandy terrain for 30 minutes in a designated riding area.
Camel ride, sandboarding and a desert sunset
Try a traditional camel ride and slide down soft sand dunes on a sandboard. It is easy to enjoy even for beginners. Stop at scenic spots for photos and, depending on the timing, watch the sun set over the desert.
BBQ buffet and live shows at the desert camp
At a traditional Arabian-style desert camp, taste Arabic coffee and dates, and enjoy henna painting and photos in traditional Arabic dress. After a BBQ dinner buffet with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, watch live performances such as Tanoura dance, belly dance and a fire show. Water, tea, coffee and soft drinks are served during your time at the camp.
※ Activities such as the camel ride and dune bashing may be changed or canceled due to weather, safety issues or local regulations.
※ The show lineup may vary depending on conditions on site.
