Program
Depart from your hotel
and head to the Al Khatim Desert
After pickup from a hotel or major shopping mall in Abu Dhabi city, travel by 4WD vehicle to the Al Khatim Desert. In the desert, enjoy about 45 minutes of dune bashing over the sand dunes, then stop briefly to take photos against the vast desert scenery. On the way, you'll also pass a camel farm.
Enjoy sandboarding and a camel ride at the desert camp
When you arrive at the camp, you'll be welcomed with snacks such as traditional Arabic coffee and tea, dates, and falafel with tahini sauce. Go sandboarding on the dunes for about 15 minutes and take a short camel ride to admire the desert scenery.
You can also try henna painting, traditional Arabic costumes and shisha, and, depending on availability, take photos with a falcon. Quad biking is available for an extra fee.
Enjoy a BBQ buffet and live shows under the stars
In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner buffet at the camp while watching live performances including belly dance, Tanoura dance and a fire show. After dinner and the shows, relax and gaze at the stars in the quiet desert before returning to your hotel.
※ Belly dance performances are not held during Ramadan.
