Highlights
Try takigyo (waterfall meditation) at Tanashita Fudo Falls, a power spot on Mt. Akagi in Gunma selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls. Stand beneath the water as it plunges in a single powerful stream from the falls' 37 m high lip, washing away everyday fatigue and refreshing your mind. You can also walk behind the falls and see the cascade from the inside. During the experience, drone footage and social-media-ready photos are taken and given to you as a gift before you leave.

Experience waterfall meditation
at Tanashita Fudo Falls
This waterfall meditation experience is recommended when you want to relieve everyday fatigue and refresh yourself. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes from meeting to dispersal, of which the waterfall meditation itself is about 20 minutes.
Meet at the parking lot and change into a training uniform
Meet and check in at the Tanashita Fudo Falls parking lot. After check-in, you will receive a training uniform (dogi) and change in a simple changing room.
Pay respects to Fudo and walk behind the falls
While paying respects to Fudo-sama (Acala), walk behind the waterfall and head to the plunge pool. You can also enjoy the view of the falls from the inside.
Complete the purification ritual and step under the falls
After learning the purification ritual and the etiquette of waterfall meditation, you step under the falls. Photos and videos are taken with a drone and an iPhone during the experience.
After the experience, change your clothes and warm up with a hot drink. The drone video and iPhone photos are shared via AirDrop, and the activity ends here.
