The minivan ride from Strasbourg to Colmar takes about 1 hour. Colmar's old town is a pedestrian-only area with architecture from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments.
You have about 3 hours of free time to visit whichever of the 5 Christmas markets you like.
Drive along the Alsace Wine Route
After leaving Colmar, you drive along the famous Alsace Wine Route. The road crosses the wine-growing region and passes some of its most beautiful villages.
Visit the daily market of an Alsatian village
The afternoon program depends on the tour date. The village you visit is Obernai, Bergheim or Riquewihr, and you spend about 2 hours exploring its daily market and streets. Afterwards you return to Strasbourg.
