From Paris: Giverny Monet's Garden Bike Tour (E-Bike Option)

Ride through the Normandy countryside by coach
to the village of Vernon

Depart from the meeting point in Paris's 15th arrondissement and ride a coach through Normandy's wheat and sunflower fields, following the Seine to the village of Vernon. In Vernon, visit the farmers' market with your guide and pick out your own food for the picnic lunch.

Enjoy a picnic in a park on the Seine riverbank

Hop on your bike, cross the river to a beautiful park on the banks of the Seine, and enjoy a picnic lunch with the food you bought at the market.

Follow the bike path to the village of Giverny

After lunch, ride leisurely about 5 km along a bike path to the village of Giverny. On the way you pass the Giverny church and its cemetery, with graves of local residents dating back to the 17th century, British soldiers from World War II, and Monet's family grave. You also pass the Hôtel Baudy, where Impressionist painters once painted.

Explore Monet's house and gardens

At the highlight of the day, Monet's house and gardens, you have about 90 minutes to explore freely. See the gardens with the water lily pond where some of Monet's most famous works were born, and the house where he lived. You can also explore the museum across from the gardens and the village of Giverny with its cafés and little streets. At the end of the tour, return to the Paris meeting point by coach.
