This full-day tour takes you from Paris to Versailles by e-bike, riding along Seine cycle paths and through parks, forests and small villages. Tours run in small groups of up to 12, and in the Parc de Saint-Cloud you can take in panoramic views of Paris from a viewpoint once used by Napoleon. After a picnic by the Grand Canal with local products picked at the Notre-Dame Market in Versailles, you explore Marie Antoinette's Queen's Hamlet. Finally, with the included ticket, you visit the Palace and Gardens of Versailles at your own pace, including the Hall of Mirrors and the King's Apartments.
Meet your guide at 8:30 a.m. in front of Café Millésime in Paris's 15th arrondissement and get your e-bike ready. The tour begins as you leave Paris on the cycle path along the Seine. Tours run in small groups of up to 12.
Cross the roughly 1,500-acre Parc de Saint-Cloud and see the Grande Cascade fountain. Hear the history of the former Saint-Cloud palace, home to Louis XIV's brother Philippe d'Orléans and to Napoleon, and snap a photo with Paris in the background from a viewpoint once used by Napoleon. Then pass through the small village of Marnes-la-Coquette and ride along the shaded trails of the Fausses-Reposes Forest.
Stop at the Notre-Dame Market in Versailles and choose local products such as wine, cheese, baguettes and saucisson to suit your budget. Then enjoy a picnic lunch by the Grand Canal on the Palace of Versailles grounds. Food bought at the market is at your own expense.
After lunch, make brief stops in front of the Grand Trianon and the Petit Trianon, which Louis XVI gave to Marie Antoinette, then arrive at the Queen's Hamlet and explore it. Next, head to the Palace of Versailles and spend about 2 hours exploring Le Nôtre's gardens, the Hall of Mirrors and the King's Apartments at your own pace. While you visit the palace, the guide takes the bikes back to Paris.
※ After visiting the palace, return to Paris on your own by train or Uber/taxi whenever you like (transport not included).
