Meet your guide at the equestrian statue of Louis XIV on Place d'Armes, right in front of the palace, and enter without waiting through a separate entrance. For about 1 hour 30 minutes, your guide shares stories about the Sun King's court, the Grand Apartments and the daily rituals of court life.
See the Hall of Mirrors and the King's and Queen's Apartments
Pass through the State Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors, where history was made, and walk through the King's and Queen's Apartments. Admire ceiling paintings, gilded decorations and exquisite furniture that reflect absolute monarchy at its peak. You can stay in the palace as long as you like after the guided tour.
Stroll freely through the Gardens of Versailles and the Trianon Estate
After the palace, wander among the lawns, fountains and statues of the Gardens of Versailles designed by landscape architect André Le Nôtre. On certain dates from spring to autumn, the Musical Gardens or the Fountains Show take place. You can also explore the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon, favorite retreats of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, and Marie Antoinette's Estate at your own pace.
