The tour begins in front of the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, considered the oldest church in Paris. Your guide introduces the history of the church and Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, then you stop briefly near the famous cafés Les Deux Magots and Le Café de Flore next door. These cafés were meeting places for Hemingway and the 'Lost Generation', and later symbols of the existentialists and the golden age of jazz.

Walk through the square and market of the former abbey

Next, head into the heart of the former Saint-Germain-des-Prés abbey and explore Place de Furstemberg, often called the most romantic square in Paris. Pass the Saint-Germain market and the elegant Mabillon area while listening to your guide. During the tour, you can taste treats at the pâtisserie Arnaud Larher at an extra cost.

Pass Rue de Buci and secret arcades

Finish near Notre-Dame after the Saint-Michel district
