This walking tour takes you around Île de la Cité, the island where Paris began, with an English-speaking guide. Starting from Pont Neuf, you pass landmarks such as Place Dauphine, the Conciergerie, Sainte-Chapelle and Notre-Dame Cathedral while hearing stories of kings, saints, medieval life and the French Revolution. Meet your guide in front of the equestrian statue of Henri IV in the middle of Pont Neuf, at the western tip of Île de la Cité. Walk through the heart of Paris along the Seine and past quiet squares while your expert English-speaking guide shares stories of kings, saints, medieval life and the revolutions that shaped France.
Pass Place Dauphine and the Conciergerie
Stroll through charming Place Dauphine and learn its history, then see the exteriors of the Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle. You can also enjoy scenic views along the Seine and see the independent bookstore Shakespeare and Company.
See the restored Notre-Dame Cathedral
In front of Notre-Dame, restored after the 2019 fire, hear about the cathedral's history and restoration. With the "Island guided tour & Notre-Dame interior guided tour" option, you go inside with a certified guide and learn about its art, architecture and restoration. The "Small-group tour" option is limited to 5 people: you enter the cathedral with your host and then explore the interior freely at your own pace.
Explore the stained glass of Sainte-Chapelle
With the "Island guided tour & Sainte-Chapelle entry" option, after the walk you enter the Gothic masterpiece Sainte-Chapelle and explore its stained glass, with more than 1,000 scenes, on a self-guided visit.

Meet in front of the equestrian statue of Henri IV (a man on horseback) in the middle of Pont Neuf, at the western tip of Île de la Cité. Pont Neuf connects Île de la Cité with the Left and Right Banks of Paris. There will be a City Wonders sign at the meeting point.
The nearest metro stations are Pont Neuf (Line 7) and Cité (Line 4).
End point:
The Sainte-Chapelle option ends at Sainte-Chapelle (10 Bd du Palais, 75001 Paris), and the Notre-Dame options end at Notre-Dame Cathedral.
