Paris: Notre-Dame Cathedral & Île de la Cité Guided Tour (Max 5)

Start with Notre-Dame's façade
from the square in front of the cathedral

The tour starts at Parvis Notre-Dame - Place Jean-Paul II, near the Archaeological Crypt (Crypte Archéologique). For about 15 minutes, you'll look closely at the cathedral's façade, take photos and listen to your guide.

Discover the secrets of history and architecture inside the cathedral

Head inside and spend about 40 minutes following the route recommended by the cathedral. You'll see the sacred symbols hidden in glass and stone, statues, paintings and tapestries, as well as ancient and modern pieces showing Notre-Dame's influence on France and the world.

If you wish, you can take time to pray in a dedicated space for contemplation. You can also visit the sacristy (treasury), which holds Notre-Dame's treasures rescued from the fire, or climb the cathedral's towers and terraces if reservations allow.

Continue to Île de la Cité and the Saint-Michel district if you like

After the cathedral, you can continue the Île de la Cité tour to see Sainte-Chapelle, Square René Viviani and the Church of Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre. Tickets for Sainte-Chapelle and the cathedral towers must be arranged separately in advance.
