This is a hike of about 2 hours on snowshoes through the remote areas around Abisko National Park. You travel in a small group of up to 8 people with a professional guide, starting at 2:00 PM and returning around 4:00 PM. Transport, warm clothing and warm drinks are included.
Walk past snow-covered birch forest and mountains
On snowshoes you walk through the quiet Arctic birch forest to places where the mountain scenery opens up. It is a walk over snow in clean Arctic air.
Look for tracks of local wildlife
As you walk, you can look for the tracks of wildlife that live in the area, such as moose, foxes and Arctic hares. You and your guide take time to examine the traces left in the snow.
Meet at the meeting point and set off
The tour starts in front of a small red and white building at Karvens väg 18 in Abisko Östra. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time. If you are staying at STF Abisko Turiststation, you are picked up at no extra cost.

It is about a 10-minute walk from Abisko.net and Abisko Mountain Lodge, and about a 5-minute walk from Abisko Guesthouse.
Guests staying at STF Abisko Turiststation are picked up 30 minutes before the scheduled start at no extra cost. Guests staying at Abisko Mountain Lodge or Abisko.net Hostel & Husky can choose to be picked up at the Abisko Mountain Lodge parking lot 20 minutes before the start.
