BESTIt was delicious and friendly. However, the service was very slow, so the dinner course took 3 hours... I don't think it's worth paying 250,000 won per person to eat there. If you think Kyoto restaurants are famous, you have to wait in line for a long time to get in, so unless you want to experience a high-class restaurant with adults and a reservation in advance, I wouldn't recommend it.

Traditional Japanese cuisine using seasonal ingredients,
Kyoto Mokube
Kaiseki restaurants, a form of authentic Kyoto cuisine, offer traditional Japanese cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients tailored to the customer's preferences. Authentic kaiseki cuisine is served in a traditional atmosphere, and four generations of kaiseki restaurants are easily found in Kyoto. Furthermore, to ensure the best possible taste, they always prepare dishes using fresh ingredients, presenting seasonal dishes as a gift.

Persistence and spirit

Mokube has made what it is today through tradition and persistence that has been passed down for four generations.
1. Ingredients:
We use 100% Kyoto and local ingredients to preserve seasonal freshness. We present exquisite dishes that bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients.
2. Technology:
Tableware also has its own traditions. It showcases Japan's uniqueness through the use of natural materials like wood, stone, and greenery.
3. Culture:
The wood, the walls, the decorations that color the interior. Even a single table and chair embodies spirit, tradition, and culture.
Seasonal ingredients, sake, and Kyoto culture

Located in Gion, Kyoto, a region rich in historical and cultural value, Mokube strives to capture the essence of Kyoto culture. Guided by the philosophy of "local production for local consumption," Mokube insists on using only local ingredients.
