Whitney Museum Tips

The exterior is designed with stepped terraces on each floor, offering views of downtown and the Hudson River area. The Whitney Museum showcases over 20,000 works by more than 3,000 20th-century American artists, including masterpieces by Edward Hopper, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Andy Warhol, as well as works by emerging artists.
We recommend exploring the museum's nine floors by descending the stairs. The museum is open late on Fridays and Saturdays, so don't miss the chance to see the New York Manhattan skyline from the terrace!
