The Kani Honke Crab Story
Kani Honke exclusively uses three types of fresh, live crabs: the majestic King Crab, the delicate Hairy Crab, and the authentic Dorobō Crab (not Snow Crab), all caught in Japanese waters. To ensure the utmost freshness for our crab sashimi and boiled crab, we house live crabs in circulating seawater tanks at the Tomakomai fishing port in Hokkaido. They are then carefully packaged and directly shipped to our restaurants across Japan. For our branches outside Hokkaido, we utilize air transport to guarantee the crabs' freshness upon arrival.
