Kanihonke is a restaurant that has been operating for half a century and has captivated the taste buds of diners from all over the world with its delicious Hokkaido crab cuisine. You can taste fresh and sweet crab meat in the fresh Hokkaido crab sashimi and Sapporo's unique crab sushi. Also, the grilled crab is even sweeter and more delicious. The crab tofu and crab chlorella are excellent with their light flavor.

Another recommended menu item is 'Crab Jangjorim', and for those who cannot eat raw crab, we also have high-quality 'Crab Sukiyaki'. The various sets of crab sashimi boast a crystal-clear color and melt in your mouth.


The story of Kanihonke's crab

The fresh live crabs used by Kanihonke are three types: snow crab, hairy crab, and authentic torobo crab (no flower crab) caught in the sea near Japan. To make crab sashimi and boiled crab, we pay special attention to the fresh taste of crab meat, so we package fresh live crabs in the seawater circulation fishing port of Tomakomai Fishing Port in Hokkaido and ship them directly to stores all over Japan while they are still fresh. For stores outside of Hokkaido, we use air transport to transport the crabs to ensure their freshness.

Enjoying crab cuisine in kaiseki style

Another special thing about Kanihonke is that you can enjoy crab dishes as a kaiseki. They offer a variety of small dish dishes using seasonal crab, and it’s great that you can enjoy them as a kaiseki.
